Has anyone bought the Fu Manchu Omnibus collections published by Allison and Busby? I recently bought the first volume which contains the first 3 Fu Manchu novels from abebooks. But it came with missing pages in the first story in the book, and a bunch of duplicated pages in the second. i wonder if a batch of them might have gone out defective abd it would be pointless to try a second vendor. They published several collections of the Fu Manchu novels and like the idea of owning volumes like these rather than trying to keep track of a bunch of small paperbacks. I read most of Fu Manchu in the Pyramid Books editions years ago, I see them offered at reasonable prices but if they are defective would not want to buy them.Hopefully there is someone who owned or read these that could advise.

I got all five, didn't have a problem with any of them. Odd you got two defective volumes, but I guess it can happen. The one thing that did annoy me was Volume 2 was slightly differently formatted than the other four, cover and size wise. But I found them worth it.

Only got volume 1. What I meant that there missing pages and other defects in two of the novels collected in it. The first one, Mystery of Fu Manchu had about 100 pages missing. The second, The Devil Doctor had a bunch of duplicate pages- started at the beginning twiice. Will try again. Hopefully there was not a wide run of defective copies. Quite a fee available on used book lists ,reasonably priced.
