I stumbled across this at a local comic/book shop today... an issue of the 'zine Delap's F&SF Review from January 1977 devoted to S&S material and Howard in particular. It was produced in Culver City California... and it got me to thinking about other 'zines devoted to Howard that might be out there. I know of Amra (I have the paperback best of collections of articles form it-Blade and Spell of Conan, but no actual issues), but I was wondering if there might be more out there I am not aware of. I am interested in either whole 'zines devoted to Howard and his creations, or issues of other 'zines that have a Howard focus like this issues of Delap's F&SF Review I discovered today. Anyone know of any of these out there...? -M

Right on, MRP! I actually owned about 10 Amras at one point, but only two (barely) survived the Flood of '12. REHupan, Lee Breakiron (his real name) is the MAN when it comes to keeping track of all the REH fanzines. We hope he'll publish a book someday. Here's this to get ya started: robert-e-howard.org/NemedianChroniclers1.html

I have seen the odd fanzine/ small-press magazine style publications with reviews of Howard's work, articles, poetry, etc. THE HOWARD REVIEW: edited by Dennis McHaney, Memphis, TN. I think there's about 5 issues published between 1974- 1976, then they were published sporadically, the last issue was 14, in 2008. link howardworks.com/mchaney.htmlIssue 2 CROSS PLAINS: edited by and published by George T. Hamilton. 1974-1975 link howardworks.com/georgehamilton.htmlStephen Fabian cover art for the last issue 7, 1975 This is an excellent page from Howardworks with the 'Publications about Robert E. Howard' howardworks.com/about.htm

Considering its fairly long run -- in zine terms -- and the fact it was an actual "zine", not just a blog, I'm posting a link to the archive of Garrett H. Romaine's The Hyborian Review online e-zine: www.barbariankeep.com/hyborev.htmlIt's not bad, especially for those interested in the Conan pastiche novels.
