Some more art from the Frost-Giant's Daughter adaptation. This time we'll have a butcher's at the artwork of Robin Recht.

I think Marvel, coulda and shoulda utilized the same approach. If they published around 4 hardback graphic novels a year, all of them adaptations of the original REH Conan yarns - with hand-picked creators for each volume, it'd be great, and dare I say it, original. Something that Marvel have not been for decades.
Basically, from what I have seen by Glénat, admittedly not all of it looks great, but, nevertheless, Glénat will produce some great adaptations. And, I'm certain they'll sell far better than Marvel's Conan.

Thanks for the link Lordyarm. Unfortunately, I cannot view the artwork thanks to my ancient laptop.

An idea going round the FB pages , might be worth posting to encourage an English edition "Louinet has confirmed only France & Brazil, so far for countries publishing editions of these albums. He's also said to let publishers elsewhere know that you fans want these! So everyone eager for English editions, POLITELY let Titan Comics KNOW you want these Glenat new CONAN graphic novels, just like the Glenat ELRIC ones they translated also! Go SPEAK up! www.facebook.com/comicstitan/" Terry

It is worth giving it a go, and if translated, these volumes will make a fine addition to any REH collection.

These look brilliant for the most part. Although I'm not that keen on the art-style used for QoTBQ (not for the first time). Europe has a great attitude towards comics/graphic novels. I'm tempted to get some at least in French when they're published, they should be easy enough to follow using a combination of the pictures, knowing the stories and school-boy French. It would be great if they were published in English though.

Just got a reply from Titan: I'm sorry to say, due to the copyright issues and Marvel's recent acquisition of the licence for the USA, we won't be able to pick up this series.
As an international English language publisher, the majority of our market is in the USA and Canada, so it doesn't make sense for us to pick these up just for the UK – unfortunately.
Our next Elric series from Glénat is already on the schedule for the near future, however, so you'll be able to read that shortly!
Thank you for your query, and all the best.

Hopefully you can get copies from across the channel.
I'm sure you're familiar enough with the stories that you can just bask in the art.

Yeah, it's kinda unfortunate. The Conan adaptations will be available to order in the UK. I'll pick up the first couple of volumes and admire the artwork.

Kind of thought that would be the case. Oh well, time to brush on French...
