Some more art from the forthcoming volumes: Runberg, Jaek Wang Park ( dunno which adaptation this is for) Leroux, Brunschwig (Blonde Conan? The Scarlet Citadel?)

Page from Frost-Giant's Daughter by Robin Recht. "Do you like piss, redhead?" asks the fellow in the last panel. Odd, I don't recall that in REH's original story...

Conan by Robin Recht (Frost-Giant's Daughter) Good art, but Atali shouldn't look so... normal. Depicted here, she could be a pretty tavern girl, not a demi-goddess set on luring wounded warriors to a sacrificial doom. I think maybe only Barry Windsor-Smith got close to capturing a sufficiently otherworldly Atali.

Just checked out the dialogue according to googletranslate: 'This handful of dogs was only a diversion. Heimdull sacrificed them to delay us.'
'It gives him time to attack our allies on frozen lake.'
'mmm ... this Vanir bast does not respect any traditions.'
'Heimdull ... kill your brothers right now! tonight, ill will piss on your corpses.'
'mmm ...'
'Do you like piss, ginger (Redhead)?
Very interesting

These are looking great. I'm particularly liking the look of Frost-Giant's Daughter, although I agree Atali is a bit too normal looking. The colouring might make a difference there though.
I ordered 'Le Colosse noir'. Should be arriving next week.

She'd have to stop often while I caought my breath, my ice running skills aren't what they were.

Boy, they're really pumping these out, aren't they! They may be done with the whole Howard catalog by next summer!

My copy of Le Colosse noir arrived last week (same time as Conan exiles, I've had a Conan heavy few days!). It's a great book, feels very much like a prestige format adaptation. I'm a big fan of the size of European comics, really gives a "widescreen" cinematic sense. It also includes a short essay on the Black Colossus by Patrice Louinet (which I'll have to try and translate at some point) and some Conan art by European artists. Hopefully these editions will get English translations at some point.
