Thanks Bichoes78, here's the Black & White edition cover: ...Just realised, this'll be the 1st comic book adaptation of the Black Stranger. Weird how Gil Kane's part 1 was Black Stranger, Big John's Part 2 was Treasure of Tranicos

Not a big fan of Gil Kane's Conan stuff, but he shoulda completed this and the Hour of the Dragon adaptation.

Nice to see these adaptations are still going. But what's? up with the translations from Ablaze? Did they stop doing those because I haven't heard any updates in a while.

Two sketches by RM Guera, artist who will participate in the upcoming Glenat adaptation of Conan: The Pool of The Black One in November 2023 What do you think?

Serbian artist Rajko Milošević Gera is a true master and a big name in comic book industry (he is most famous for his work on Scalped with Jason Aaron),
but unfortunately his Conan fits the visual style of most French artists of this Glenat edition-he doesn't look like Conan.
His Sonja is much better.

When did Zingara become so Oriental? For me they are not in Oriental, but in Piktish (Indian) style

This is not true. "Man-eaters from Zamboula" is amazing. Evry story from Gleant is super cool. "Iron Shadows of the Moon", "Black River" and others. Just they are Europian artists and they make Conan diferetn. Its better then Marvel.

Nice to see these adaptations are still going. But what's? up with the translations from Ablaze? Did they stop doing those because I haven't heard any updates in a while. Definitely seems like they’ve stopped — the Cimmerian vol 4 hardcover released in November 2022, and as far as I know the four hardcovers collect all of the translations Ablaze published, and there haven’t been any more solicited. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but given the timing of Ablaze stopping their adaptations in November and the Conan license transferring to Titan in January, one wonders if there’s some connection… whether that be Conan Properties Inc deciding to threaten legal action against Ablaze, or (and this is what I really hope for) Titan having plans to do their own translations of the Glenat volumes. Man, what I’d give for full-size English translations of the Glenats. EDIT: I was looking at the initial press release from Ablaze, and this phrase jumped out at me: “The Cimmerian: Queen of the Black Coast is the first in a series of graphic novel stories adapting some of the best adventures of the legendary Cimmerian. ABLAZE will be releasing these adaptations over the next several years, under license from Glenat with certain portions under license from Conan Properties International, LLC.” www.ablaze.net/press_queen_black_coast_020420.htmlIt’s not proof or anything, but if CPI had some control over licensing the Ablaze translations, it definitely seems possible that the Conan license transferring is why “The Cimmerian” has stopped. Maybe part of CPI’s deal with Titan was that Titan didn’t want any competing Conan comics (and/or might want to do their own translations someday), so CPI agreed to suspend whatever license agreements they had with Ablaze.

I know Titan now's got the rights to Conan, but Glenat is doing such an amazing job that I wish they could keep Conan on with some pastiche of their own after they are done with all Howard's stories. That would be dope.

Well they only planned 16 books from the very beginning, so they won't even realize every single Howard story. Maybe they will expand but I am not sure how successful this series is in comparison to other Glénat releases.
