Well they only planned 16 books from the very beginning, so they won't even realize every single Howard story. Maybe they will expand but I am not sure how successful this series is in comparison to other Glénat releases. Was it sixteen? I had always seen it reported initially as twelve, with maybe the potential to keep going if they wanted to. By my count, there are currently fourteen released or soon-to-be-released Glenat Conan volumes: Queen of the Black Coast (translated into English by Ablaze)Black Colossus Beyond the Black River (translated into English by Ablaze)The Frost Giant’s Daughter (translated into English by Ablaze)The Scarlet Citadel Iron Shadows in the Moon/Shadows in the Moonlight (translated into English by Ablaze)Red Nails (translated into English by Ablaze)The People of the Black Circle (translated into English by Ablaze)The Man-Eaters of Zamboula/Shadows in Zamboula (translated into English by Ablaze)Rogues in the House The God in the Bowl The Hour of the Dragon (translated into English by Ablaze)The Slithering Shadow/Xuthal of the Dusk The Black Stranger Additionally, we’ve seen art for The Pool of the Black Ones, which would bring it up to fifteen. That’s similar to the list that was initially reported back in 2018, but with a few differences — that list mentions adaptations of A Witch Shall Be Born and The Tower of the Elephant (which we haven’t seen yet) and leaves off some we’ve since seen published, like The Hour of the Dragon, The Black Stranger, and The Man-Eaters of Zamboula: 3.bp.blogspot.com/-wYYRNHKaipc/WxlK34-0XwI/AAAAAAAACC0/LY1zQ3CnUFw_h3X8FAfYSHSV1Yq2kUOygCLcBGAs/s1600/Glenat-News.jpgBack in 2019, a poster (“stubbs”) on page 17 of this thread mentions plans for several other adaptations, including A Witch Shall be Born (Jean-Luc Istin & Thimotee Montaigne), The Tower of the Elephant (Etienne Le Roux & Thierry Ségur), and The Phoenix on the Sword (Guillaume Mautalent & Mac-Antoine Boidin). However, with no offense to stubbs, I haven’t been able to find any other references to those, so I can’t vouch for that source. (Theoretically, if those all were legit and eventually were published, it would bring Glenat’s total up to eighteen.) swordsofreh.proboards.com/thread/652/nat-conan-graphic-novels-adaptations?page=17But as things currently stand, Glenat’s done fourteen adaptations (with sketch art available for a fifteenth), though they’ve so far avoided some of the most famous stories, like Phoenix and Elephant.

I just followed what Splitter, the German publisher of the Glénat comics had on their website for at least one or two years now, it was always 16. But maybe that was just their initial guess, I just went with it and expected that to be the final number as well.

Conan acts like the Rambo movie in this sequence. Anyway, one of the best forest depictions I have ever seen in a Conan adaptation.

In the wild territory of the Picts, Zarono and his men had to build a makeshift fortress after their ship sank. Prisoners of this piece of land, they fear the worst when a Barachas pirate ship docks on the beach. Under Strom's orders, the bastion is attacked. However, the attackers flee in front of the imposing Zingarean pavilion which arrives in its turn... Just like Strom, the Zingareans are in search of the lost treasure of Tranicos the bloodthirsty, and dream of exhuming this booty buried in the Pictish forest since almost a century. And only one man is able to guide them through the jungle: Conan. Alas, who wants to seize chests overflowing with wealth must fool death...

So, what's the word with these adaptations? Have there been any updates on translations because I'm assuming Ablaze won't be doing those anymore.
