As well as Conan Exiles, Funcom have a second Conan game due in the first half of 2019, developed in partnership with Petroglyph Games. Based on Petroglyph's previous games I'd guess it'll be a real-time strategy game but there are no real details so far. funcom and petroglyph enter into partnership

Some more details: "From the Star Wars: Empire at War and Command & Conquer veterans at Petroglyph comes the first-ever strategy game set in the barbaric world of Conan the Barbarian. Conan Unconquered is a strategy game set in the barbaric world of Conan the Barbarian where you must build your stronghold and assemble an unconquerable army to survive the savage hordes of Hyboria. Wave after wave of increasingly more difficult enemies will rush at your gates and you will need to manage resources, research new technologies to advance your defenses, and recruit an ever-growing army if you are to save survive utter destruction. You can choose to play the game entirely alone in single-player, but Conan Unconquered can also be enjoyed in full two-player co-op allowing for a truly unique, shared multiplayer experience. Players share a base, but both can freely construct new buildings and amass an army to reach their common goal. Similar to games such as They Are Billions, the enemy hordes will keep coming at you and how long you can resist the invasion depends entirely on your ability to build your stronghold and lead your army. Gameplay is real-time, but you can also pause at any time to issue commands and start construction of new buildings. Battles will be bloody and savage with players having to deal with anything from fires raging through their stronghold to piles of corpses spreading death and disease." Still wondering if the announced as in development Conan Single Player game from Funcom is still in the works or if it has been shelved so they can work on a series of Dune games to co-incide with the new motion picture adaptation of the book coming out in December...

Still wondering if the announced as in development Conan Single Player game from Funcom is still in the works or if it has been shelved so they can work on a series of Dune games to co-incide with the new motion picture adaptation of the book coming out in December... Yeah, there's been no news on that, that I'm aware of. I had a quick skim over their Q4 2019 Financial Presentation ( found here), since it was originally said to be in pre-production in their Q3 2018 one, but there's no mention of a single-player Conan game unfortunately, so I suspect it has been at least put aside for the time being. They mentioned a paid expansion for Exiles, so they are remaining active on that, and with paid DLC etc it's probably a good money-spinner. It's unfortunate that a lot of Conan projects across various formats discussed in 2018/19 have gone AWOL.

I remember them saying that Conan was being put on hold while they work on Dune. It might have been on their official forums, but they confirmed it.
It will be a long while before we get a new game with Conan in the title.

It will be a long while before we get a new game with Conan in the title. That would be a damn shame, as something loosely in the Assassins Creed style of things would be quite superb. It's a shame the last game we got was 13 years ago and was a shallow rip-off of God Of War. Conan REALLy needs to be picked up by a major triple A game studio. Funcom ain't it!

Malmberg was on Twitter not long ago asking people what they want in a Conan video game: first person, single player, etc. The majority was a single-player campaign and that is certainly what I am pining for!

With the amount of game-world art assets that Funcom have with creating Age Of Conan, they could carve an Assassins Creed style 3rd person action game quite simply. Something that takes Conan across a number of Hyborian locations. And keep any usage of magic out of it. Hated that in the 2007 game.
