"Many are the hours in which I have pondered upon the story that is set forth in the following pages. I trust that my instincts are not awry when they prompt me to leave the account, in simplicity, as it was handed to me." W. H. Hodgson Always loved awesome opening one-liners. They just don't happen as much any more. Howard had his famous, "I came to Dagon's Cave to kill Richard Brent" of The People of the Dark while Lovecraft's, "It is true that I have sent six bullets through the head of my best friend, and yet I hope to show by this statement that I am not his murderer" of The Thing on the Doorstep is epic. I need to give Borderland a reread. It's been too dang long, Deuce.
