Titan launches the comic in July and according to Malmberg that when we are going to get a proper update, hopefully he will not ask us to wait a couple of months again. We'll be lucky if we find out who the mysterious filmmaker working on the movie is. Yeah, could always be surprised but not holding my breath on it. Only thing in that favor is the DeKnight-Netflix fallout happened quite a while ago, so things for Conan may have been dead for as long as we’ve speculated, giving them time to negotiate somewhere else.

One of my professors used "Pluto" as an example, one version was cancelled while other was being made and will be released.

Thanks Von K, definitely some similarities to Conan there. Really enjoyed Dredd, too. Have been hoping for a sequel.

Anyone watch "Blue Eye Samurai" on Netflix? The animation is stunning! Couldn't help but ponder what could have been if the right people worked at Netflix.

It was such an unfortunate bit of timing that they tried to make the series in the teeth of the industry’s ideological convulsions. It’s begun to break free a bit over the past year or so. If the cycle had started now there might have been a different outcome.

YouTuber John Rocha says Netflix is developing a Conan the Barbarian movie reboot with Alexander Skarsgard or Alan Ritchson being eyed to play the lead.

Imho, judging by Reacher Alan Ritchson could portray a credible heaver Conan closer to Buscemas' version. He's six three and built like a red brick pagoda just about the right build. Alexander Skarsgard could credibly portray a leaner rangier Barry Windsor Smith Conan going by his performance in the Northman.

Netflix deal was supposed to be dead and list sounds like a fan wishlist. I’m with Jeff.

Zero percent chance of any of this happening.

Kit Harington, 5'8" as Conan !?! The guy that plays Conan should be Gwendoline Christie's height.

I agree, but he does have the look of Conan. The magic of cinema, perhaps? They made hobbits out of Elijah Wood, Dom Monaghan, etc. and a dwarf out of Rhys-Davies. Also, the list of names could just be supporting actors.
One of the very people on this podcast basically call it bullshit. He finds some of the names attached quite humorous.
Malmberg keeps hinting at some sort of movement on social media. But he's been doing that for years.

I suppose good ol movie FX can make a barbarian out of Kit Harrington. Still, you kinda want the guy playing Conan to sort of look the part. Harrington would make a great Gault from REH's 'Wolves Beyond the Border'. Maybe they should make something like that first, sort of test run before casting Conan in the spotlight again.
