I don't mind if it's part of their larger world, but as the article mentions, there's the chance the license will go away again and they'll be stuck...again.
That said, I don't think they'll be trying to jam Wolverine into Beyond the Black River or anything like that.

Conan and superheroes in the same place just doesn't work. I always thought of Conan's world turning into this one, not the Marvel universe with the Avengers.

Makes sense, REH's Hyborian Age and Thurian Age were both part of the mainstream Marvel Universe back in the old days. The character Bloodstone was an immortal aesir tribesman, the monster Shuma Gorath came from a name created by REH, the Serpent Crown is an artifact created by Set, Kull and Spiderman teamed up, probably lots more stuff I'm not remembering.

I forgot to mention Spiderman and Red Sonja appearing together.

Heck, the actual Red Sonja comic has her in modern day New York!
I've been collecting all the Sonja trades, but I am skipping these.

Star Trek/X-Men comes to mind. Sure, I remember Spider Man and Kull already noted on this page, remember how Spidey was bitten by one of the Serpent Men and needed a cure and how it led to him ( in a roundabout way ) ending up in Kull's time, but at least Marvel had the good sense to keep it out of titles such as SSOC. That way it was strictly sword and sorcery fare, as opposed to sci fi superhero. Hope that trend continues decades on. Maybe they can throw Conan in an issue of the X Men or something, and if we don't like it we can pretend it never happened, as long as they don't tarnish the main Conan titles with it.

As long as they keep this daft crap out of the Conan stories, fine, I'll just skip these. If they force this wank into Hyboria then we riot!

Looking at this blitz I think it is an effort to firmly re-establish Conan and the Hyborian Age (and by extension much of REH's overall Mythos) as part of the Marvel Universe just as it was in the 70's and 80's (I quit reading comics in the early 90's so I don't know much beyond that time). Unless Marvel's Conan unexpectedly flops, here's a vague prediction about the future of the Cimmerian: Elements of the Marvel version of teh Hyborian Age will creep into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in second wave of Marvel movies (likely an artifact; Serpent Crown, Bloodgem or something like that, the connection will be Dr.Strange) 2021 Marvel/Disney produces a Conan movie 2023 Conan appears in the second wave of Avengers movies (replacing Hawkeye as the non-superpowered badass of the group), the story-line will involve time travel to the Hyborian Age and powerful artifacts forged by Shuma-Gorath and Set (or similar entities that can be tied to the REH Mythos). The lotus smoke dissipates, I can see no further at this time.

Yeah, I'm also beginning to wonder if we're about to find out that Conan's going to become part of the MCU. I can't wait for the discussions that will follow that particular announcement . . .
There's a lot of problems trying to fit the Hyborian Age into the comic version of the Marvel Universe (even though it technically was back in the day). The distant past included things like the Inhumans, the Deviants and Eternals, the Celestials. You start putting that into the Hyborian Age and it's not really Robert E Howard's creation anymore. And the way modern Marvel operates, they're likely to drag Conan into as many crossovers and possible.
