If you know comics, you know Jusko covers. And since we're all REH fans, Jusko's Savage Sword of Conan covers are particularly noteworthy.
Today I picked up this nice hardcover. Its page count is a little slim, but it does feature several nice REH comic covers, including a couple from Hawks of Outremer. Plus, it's signed
I paid $20 for it, which looks like a good deal based on current eBay listings. There's a companion book that I now must buy, but I imagine I'll be paying a bit more for that one...
The only problem with the book is there's no index with info about each image. Does anyone recognize the last image? I would love to know more about it.

It's called 'The Stalking Terror'. I found lots of images (which are uncensored - nsfw) in my search, but I can't find any story behind it.

Excellent, thank you. What was your search strategy?

I did a Google image search, and I think my key phrase was, "Joe Jusko black and white demon." It was the second image. I remember seeing this picture a few years back, and I think it's amazing. But then most of his stuff is, of course. Anyway, that book is a great find, especially since it's signed!

Thanks for the link. Too bad they censored it for publication in the art book...

$20 for a signed copy sounds like a great deal. Awesome imagery from Joe. The lady by the pillar looks Brythunian to me.

Thanks for the link. Too bad they censored it for publication in the art book... I figured you would want to see the 'unexpurgated' Jusko Joe was really cool to meet this summer. Got to not only meet him but hung out with him a bit. I was grateful for some painting advice which I put to almost immediate use on a Tarzan piece I recently finished.

I didn't know you painted; I've looked at the Cover Art section of your website but I thought those were commissions. Do you have any art uploaded?

A couple of Burroughs pieces I can't display just yet because one is slated to appear in an upcoming issue of Burroughs Bibliophiles, and the other in an upcoming issue of the ERB-APA. I'll put them on the site after those are released. www.chrisladamsbizarretales.com/fantasy-artimgur.com/gallery/XeDYq

Ha! Yes that Tarzan was different. If you've watched any Bob Ross you'll recognize some of his technique in that one. When I painted this, I researched what the greats have done before me. Even Joe Jusko did a Tarzan Rescues the Moon. But none for some reason ever painted the blood moon --- which is what a moon is called during a lunar eclipse! This is, perhaps, the first--and it's exactly what the moon would have looked like in the story; or close as I could come, anyway. And it was fun. I like painting moons.
