Okay.
I'm at a point where I am not even going to bother giving even a second of consideration to anything new related to Conan these days. I'll just stick to the old stuff. My disappointment has escalated from frustration, to straight out anger at these creative decisions.
Don't you just know...KNOW that if you were given the reigns to come up with a competent Conan story that it would automatically be heads and tails better than this tripe...just based on having a better focus and respect for the source material?
I could puke my damn guts out. What's next? Conan in the land of Strawberry Shortcake? A Conan crossover with Rick and Morty?

This is the exact opposite way of how to go about a story of Conan being in a far flung future. A premise like this could be done in a Howardian vain with the right talent behind it. But this is....is...simply beyond inane. Putting Conan into a pseudo Star Wars universe with laser swords and space ships! Marvel should be ashamed. But I guess that's impossible because they have no dignity.

What a mess, they should just go all the way now and do a 'Conan verse The Planet of the Apes' series set in 3099 where Conan leads the subjugated humans against the tyranny of the apes. What is more, we get to learn that one of the gorilla generals is a direct descendant of Thak, which makes for a major showdown.  |
