Requiring a vaccine is just common sense.

Requiring a vaccine is just common sense. Unfortunately common sense is rare these days.

Stay on topic, no vaccine talk (anywhere on this board), no "He-Man" in this thread.

It would help if Netflix or Malmberg could reveal something beyond they have a showrunner.
Who is this mysterious showrunner?
The silence is awfully familiar to the nonsensical excuses experienced during the Amazon series.
Netflix don't care about this deal. They just wanna make sure no other streaming service or studio that can release a movie on screen related to the work of REH.
Why haven't we heard about top actors showing interest in this series? Especially for the main role as Conan.
Easy, cos this is not gonna happen.
Prove me wrong Netflix and Fredrik Malmberg.

I'd say you're right, but there's an element we have to count on here: Fan(atic's) problem. I remember quite well how hard people treated Momoa back in 10-11. Death threads, violent threads (I read them a lot back in the day on lots of pages), they called him names such as Conan the Gay or Jason Homoa and what not. And a guy ends up being great in the role, sadly in one bad story that studio fucked up. Curse of Conan rests on multiple basis - there's REH's fans (original ones) and so far I've seen the smallest base, then there's comic Conan fans and biggest base is Arnold's Conan fans. Satisfy everyone's wishes and not incur the wrath of all three bases? Not possible! Each group has its own vision and within that vision there are tousands of visions that come from hundreds of people and so on. While we can all blame Avi Lerner for 2011 reboot flop, there’s a lot of blame on the fans themselves. Nothing is good for anyone, no one respects the choice of that other guy, and that goes on in a circle. In such a situation, at the head of the production, I myself would choose to keep the identity of the showrunner in the shadows for as long as possible, away from the public. Although I would like to know more details of this, even to participate in the series at least as an extra if not as some character (yes, Im trying to get into acting world), I understand (or naively comfort myself with that) why the information we have so far is weak.

Heck, in Amazon's timeframe, we had the name right upfront. Letting us know who the showrunner is would at least calm some nerves. It's been almost two months since Howard days when it was already getting a little old. By the end of next month it'll have been a whole year since the announcement. If you're not going to have something ready until 2023, let people know already.

In that vein, Amazon's LOTR show will premiere September 2...2022! Four years after the announcement. Gotta let us know something sooner than that!

Maybe we could try to do something in the public domain, outiste of the USA most of REH works are already on it and the Portuguese are making wonderfulm new editions, illustrations and they just completed their crowudfounding for their own Conan TTRPG.

I agree with you concerning the fans, sometimes they can be a problem, if that is the reason why the showrunner is not named, then fair enough. But, are the fans of REH's Conan really that bad? They should be selling this series to everyone, not just the REH, Comicbook or Arnie fans.

I think they'd put a stop to it like they did with the Iron Shadows movie. I still think the Russians could make a pretty decent Conan movie.
