What a great artist! Creative, detailed, stylish, distinctive original line drawing and he is not shy when depicting women the way they are supposed to be in certain moments of the story. Violent scenes are rendered greatly too (see that black corsair being slashed in two) and the atmosphere he creates just shows how much potential he could fulfil, specially if he had decided to draw the entire story till the end. I can easily see myself buying it were it a Dark Horse production.

A friend of mine sent it to me by mail years ago. It's doubtless the most faithful QotBC's adaptation - and, in my opinion, the best one!!

The art by Petri Hiltunen is also very good - and I do mean very good. But, I will always have a soft spot for the Thomas/Buscema QotBC run. I have the whole run bound in two volumes (without the reprints and fill-in issues) and every couple of years or so, I relive the good old days with Conan, Belit, Nyaga, M'gora, the treacherous Kawaku and Zula, last of the Zamballahs.
