They better hope there’s some male gazing for this or else it won’t make dollar one. You’d think they’d have learned NOT to tell people “we’re not making this movie for YOU, (add in the pejorative of your choice)!!!” But apparently no one told Matilda. You tell people that, they’ll take your advice and stay away. |

One thing I've noticed in older pop culture is that they weren't shy about appealing to the male (or female) gaze with attractive people dressed attractively. Just another one of those obvious things our modern media needs to relearn, I guess.

Just another one of those obvious things our modern media needs to relearn, I guess. Now they want to say they’re not doing it but do it anyway (see Barbie). And did people flee from it? No, it was the #1 hot of the year. They weren’t even that shy a decade ago. Take a look at Modern Family, Rules of Engagement or Chuck. Showing stuff off wasn’t that big a deal not so long ago. |

I think they are trying to say the right thing cos they probably have not got a distribution deal, yet. I mean she is in the iron bikini, at least a variation of it for the movie.

A WOKE remake of a Red Sonja not for the male gaze. OK We've always known that it is not gonna be the Red Sonja from the old Marvel comics. I kinda suspect they have not got a distributor yet, and are trying to sell the movie with these words which for some inexplicable reason modern movie makers believe they should be about. It could be an okay movie, nothing like what they're talking about, unfortunately it'll not be a Red Sonja one. The weird thing that in most of the movies starring Matilda Lutz, she is scantly clad, very much for the Male Gaze. Don't make sense. Or this movie could be so bad that no distributor will touch it. |
