I'm really NOT convinced about the Tudor era costumes.
Some people in the REH community defend that the Hyborian Age should be medieval, and not ancient-looking like in the comic books. I do not agree. But, even if you do, this thing looks more akin to the world of Solomon Kane that the savage lands that comic-book Sonja used to roam. If you adapt Shadow of the Vulture then, yes, of course, bring on the full-plate knights, the musketeers and the gunpowder. BUT THE GIRLS LOOK LIKE CAVEMEN! AND THEY HAVE A GLADIATORIAL PIT THERE!! It feels... weird. Weird and out of place.

I really believe that they know- THEY KNOW that they are sacrificing quality and more importantly profitability just for the sake of keeping within woke boundary lines.

I watched one of the earlier instagrams where MJ Bassett mentioned the '300' movie, but didn't want it to be that way, kind of came off like Bassett was confused about the right concept, and I wondered if the producers of this new Red Sonja film really had a handle on the Hyborian Age. I suppose between the late medieval Tudor costuming in some of the pics on the other page and the savage girls look it does look kind of like a wierd ass mash. The barbarian women are kind of nice though.
They should of just stuck with one theme and made it right, either Shadow of the Vulture or what many of us wanted to see, that is, the chain mail bikini clad busty Red Sonja.

I'd like to see that middle gal with the big hair cast in her own S&S epic. Or any other sort of epic... Ha, ha, I think we all want that. That is Manal El Feitury.
I think that hun already posted her photo (in all her glory), but I am afraid we won't see anything like it in RS movie.
I guess there will be only two types of women in this movie: fully clothed warriors, and almost fully clothed warriors
So probably we are going to see Sonja-the female Spartacus who are leading bunch of angry warrior women against toxic, evil men.
or leading a bunch of angry warrior women against toxic, white evil men. Yes, of course, that goes without saying. They are evil since they were little boys.
Adult Draygan and young Draygan.

I think the closest thing we'll get to Shadow of the Vulture in this picture is if a bird flies over head at noon and leaves its shade.

Also, for everyone talking about the Hyborian Age.... I'm not sure that's what we are going to get. Unfortunately not. Probably some poor man's Gladiator & Tudors.
I have seen better costumes in LARP games.
Unfortunately the script is based on a script by Huo and Soloway.
So probably we are going to see Sonja-the female Spartacus who are leading bunch of angry warrior women against toxic, evil men.
By Crom & Tengri. Not very promising considering the costumes.

With some of these group shots, if it wasn't for previous pages in the thread, it is hard to guess who RS is. Sad!

Special, short guest appearance by Matilda in MJ Bassett's live video(from 4.00):
She seems like a really sweet and lovely person, someone you could trust to look after your kids while you're at work, not someone you'd hire to protect you and guard your property.

All those corny and dumb cast group shots with everyone nicey nice and all close is kinda off putting, sometimes it's almost as if they are taking the piss out of the fans, maybe this is just one big tax write off movie for the studios. So MJ chose Lutz because of her 'big, warm, wonderful smile....kindest human with the strongest warrior spirit'. What the hell with that, was Bassett casting for Snow White or Red Sonja Is this how they will be casting for a future Conan, 'the actor was gentle and had a kind strong heart'

Judging a film on its looks before all the post-production and CGI etc goes in, is a bit like, well.... judging a film on its looks before all the post-production and CGI etc goes in.

Judging a film on its looks before all the post-production and CGI etc goes in, is a bit like, well.... judging a film on its looks before all the post-production and CGI etc goes in. Do you think they’ll have the budget to improve this greatly? It’s not like it’s 100% green screen where we really don’t know what they have in mind.. This is the general look they’re going for. Maybe the lighting for the film will help on screen. It just doesn’t look as impressive as something like Beastmaster, which wasn’t high budget but ended up being well shot and had interesting sets. It looks like they tried to make do with whatever budget they had, which is why you probably have all these styles mixed together.
