Red Sonja film in post-production, release date is unknown

It looks like we're going to see a martial arts fight scenes in the movie. 

Wallis is probably going to perform some kicks in Muay Thai.

How else do you expect her to pull off the fight scenes and dangerous stunts required for roles like Annisia, the titular character’s wicked half-sister in the new Red Sonja, due out next year. I tend to look more fondly on films after nostalgia has had time to kick in. I hated the original Red Sonja when I walked out of the theater back in 1985.  I actually like the film today.

So, that means, I'll probably dig this new Red Sonja in about 37 years, if I'm still on this world.

As for bad girl, Red Sonja should be the principle bad girl. If she's not bad, that's not good.

And that's the root of the problem. Red Sonja needs to be played by a tough Michelle Rodriguez type (that looks the part) who would laugh in the face of criticism. Not Red Sonja - The Snowflake.

Or maybe we just wait how it turns out... Of course it will be trashy to some degree but we all know that - and to be honest if we don't expect/want trash, we shouldn't be watching Red Sonja in the first place.

Well, if Lutz is reading this, just to clarify, when I said about Lutz getting the shit kicked out of her by Wallis, I meant their characters in the respective movie, Annisia beating up Red Sonja  . At least Brigitte Nielsen kinda looked the part.

I certainly would like it to be good.  I'm just tired of being disappointed with Howard properties at the movies.

The production value looks poor with mediocre set designs and I cannot find anything good to say about the costumes. If this is how sloppy they work I doubt the visual effects can save this movie.

Me personally, I have zero hope for this movie. After all the let downs, the Red Nails animated movie, Momoa movie sucking, Amazon, and now the silence from Malmberg and Netflix. I know this is not a Conan project and that this Red Sonja is not a REH character, but if a much more popular Conan can’t get a fair treatment then (for me) there is no reason I should be optimistic this will be even “good”. I know I should wait and not judge a book by it’s cover, but to hell with that. Us fans are like Cimmerian’s. We have to live in a dark dreary land with no hope. Only given a breath of life and the will to live from Crom.

I tried to enlarge the picture of Matilda in the costume from the set. It's blurry, but we can conclude that the costume will be a combination of a bikini top and a skirt, in line with what MJ hinted at in the live video - a combination of a classic comic book costume and practical clothes.

These boots look terrible.

Not bad, Matilda looks a little too thin, but not too far from the comics of the past.

We definitely can't judge a film characters costume from a low resolution zoomed in pixelated image.
