Huge delay in plans. I was waiting for vol. 9 announcement, but now it has really gotten out of sight. The 9th volume is still up at the PRH Comics with a release date of the 7th of November 2023, there's still no official solicitation yet. That date will probably change along with the release dates for the 2nd volumes of CTB & SSOC. PRH link: prhcomics.com/book/?isbn=9781787740976

The Savage Sword of Conan: The Original Comics Omnibus Vol.2
Author Roy Thomas Illustrated by John Buscema, Neal Adams
Experience Conan at his most visceral in the original epic comic magazine The Savage Sword of Conan! The dark and gritty tales within are perfect for Conan fans looking for that extra bit of bloody violence! This DM edition features exclusive cover art by Jim Starlin.
SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN, the cornerstone of Marvel's black-and-white magazine line, offered up stories of fiction's most famous barbarian unencumbered by the Comics Code! With the rules of civilized publishing cast off, SAVAGE SWORD presented ferocious, untamed tales the likes of which Conan himself would approve. Writer Roy Thomas and artistic greats including John Buscema and Neal Adams took full advantage - and the results were a sensation! Multi-part sagas like "The People of the Black Circle" luxuriate in extended tellings, while Buscema's take on "The Tower of the Elephant" explores the nuance of an all-time Robert E. Howard classic. And it's topped off with MARVEL COMICS SUPER SPECIAL #2, a tale of vengeance lavished with fully painted colors! Collecting SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN (1974) #13-28 and MARVEL COMICS SUPER SPECIAL #2. This DM edition features exclusive cover art by Jim Starlin.

I am so happy Titan is sticking to original SSoC covers. This one will be hard to choose. I like both covers.

I would pick #126 and 130 as regular and direct covers. But from 117 to 132 covers are not that great and because of that I think Titan made good choices.

I'll probably go for the Jusko cover: I also really liked the cover for issue 127 by Peter Manko:

Just went through them all, yep, not the strongest set of covers. Kinda liked the snow one (#121) and the others that were pointed out above were the better of the bunch IMO. #119 and #122 I did not like.
I think I'll go with the Jusko as well. #117 isn't a bad alternative. It reminds me of a video game but I can't quite put my finger on which right now.

Indeed. Jusko is usually utter gold, but that grin is odd. And the other one — I've never been a fan of over the top armor or weapons. And Conan is way too big.
127, to me, is classic SSOC.

Cory Sedlmeier has posted on Masterworks site:
" I chose to leave the position as editor of Heroic Signatures/Titan's classic Conan collections. In the end, the role did not provide the degree of quality control that I have had on my projects with other publishers. That was a must for me, which I stated from the outset. I exited with the majority of the SSOCv9 black-and-white restoration completed and material sourced and vetted for SSOCv10, CTBv11 and CTKv2, which ought to leave the Conan Omnibus well positioned for the future. That said, since I left before the first BTP and new volumes went to press, I cannot speak to their final presentation or quality. Heroic Signatures have their heart in the right place and want to give fans great Conan books. I wish them well."

Wow that's a real kick in the nuts, Cory was the common thread that united the Marvel Omnis with their continuation at Titan. I hope things work out OK - both for him and for fans!
Anyone know what BTP means?
