Wow that's a real kick in the nuts, Cory was the common thread that united the Marvel Omnis with their continuation at Titan. I hope things work out OK - both for him and for fans! Anyone know what BTP means? Yes, it might be a little troublesome . I _guess_could be a reason why the release dates have been pushed back.

I'll wait and see. If Conan's omnibi do not match previous quality in every aspect I will stop buying it right away.

Cory Sedlmeier has posted on Masterworks site: " I chose to leave the position as editor of Heroic Signatures/Titan's classic Conan collections. In the end, the role did not provide the degree of quality control that I have had on my projects with other publishers. That was a must for me, which I stated from the outset. I exited with the majority of the SSOCv9 black-and-white restoration completed and material sourced and vetted for SSOCv10, CTBv11 and CTKv2, which ought to leave the Conan Omnibus well positioned for the future. That said, since I left before the first BTP and new volumes went to press, I cannot speak to their final presentation or quality. Heroic Signatures have their heart in the right place and want to give fans great Conan books. I wish them well." Oh, that's pretty disappointing. Thanks for the info, Terry.

We'll have to see if the Back To Print volumes look as well as the new ones compared to the Marvels. Quality control is WHY you have Cory in their first place. If you're going to pinch the pennies to this regard, you may lose sales down the line. I know they don't have the resources Marvel or DC have, but this is going to be your prestige release, you gotta get this right.

I caught the end of something Omar was talking about on the Saturday stream and it seems like Titan are umming and ahhing about the direction they wish follow with the omnis. To confuse things even further the 1st volumes of CtB(March) and SSoC(April) were re-solicited last month! I'm not sure the resolicit was Titan's choice. IIRC Diamond Distributing has a rule that if something is 6 months late (I think), it MUST be resolicited. Also, the Titan Conan omnis can't be all the content that was in the Marvels since some of that was OWNED by Marvel, so the page count will be lower in at least some of the new editions. That makes me wonder how Titan can just continue where Marvel left off with Volume 9? But maybe I'm wrong?
