Rewatched RotJ the other day with the boys. So did Luke just use the force to temporarily stop the Gamorian guards hearts when they crossed axes, attempting to stop his entry? The one guard looked like he was clutching at his breast plate as he slumped back into the wall before presumably feinting. I guess he was supposed to be doing a temp Vader choke (unsettling for the good guys to use that but…). I suppose the guys in the suits couldn’t do a good throat clutch so they did what they could. Man there are a lot of twisted panties out there if you have any criticism of the Acolyte! It’s the single most perfectly written show in history and you don’t see that… you’re a dummy head! Acolyte is currently sitting on RT at 85% critics score (down from 91) and 26% audience score (down from 27%).

There's be a rumble in the jungles that's for sure, all the way from Kashykk to Endor via Coruscant! Seem to recall we were discussing Jawa Sith as well after Bux posted some pics in the caption thread. Could do a the Good the Bad and the Ugly Mexican standoff between all three. Or maybe that might be going too far...
Indeed! Oh wow, I had completely forgotten about that discussion until you mentioned it. Good memory! Yes, Jawa Sith - I remember that now lol! Hey, I'd be in for watching that standoff. When you really think about, though, it's not too far-fetched or silly when you consider whatever species Yoda and Grogu are. Those two might be more force sensitive than other races, but as far as looks go, they're just as small or cute as ewoks and jawas are. Why not have a few other small jedis jumping around, right? And now that you mention it, I kinda miss that caption thread... Here's another one Bux posted back in 2017 in the pics thread. Yoda vs a dark side member of the same species?

Now down to 25% audience score on RT. Dropped a whole percentile in a mere 5 hours.

I don't think I'm even going to watch it, based on the IMDB reviews so far. I love Star Wars, but nothing great has come out for a long time. I'm no purist - the original three are brilliant films that mean a lot to me and I just rewatched them with my kids, who loved them too - but I don't hate the prequels, and I've enjoyed many of the novels and comics as well. But in the last 15 years everything has been very, very average (or worse).
The main problem I've found is that there have been flashes of good moments in the sequels, Obi Wan, Mandalorian, Andor, Rogue One, but so inconsistent they just don't hold up well overall.
I only watched the first episode of Ashoka and decided it was utter tripe. But I'm guess I'm not their target audience any more...

I watched the first episode. It was okay, didn't really grab me. Carrie-Anne Moss was wasted. Lee Jung-jae to me is pretty rock solid as a stoic jedi master. The ship designs are okay. The little hand held droid is neat. Just not really much there on the first episode to really make me want to watch episode 2, and I guess that is why a week later I still have not watched the second episode.

Right with your assessment- original trilogy is classic, prequels were serviceable and had compartmentalized cool scenes (pod race, maul fight, etc.), older comics and novels were great. I would add to that the Clone Wars and Rebels (which I am almost done watching) are both great too. I won't go near anything outside of that given the inception of political agenda that began with The Force Awakens. For me that kicked off this whole pile of steamy garage, that sure, may have a few decent moments within, but the hell if I am going sift through it and give any of my time or ratings to. I'm convinced that they don't even think about "target audiences" anymore either. I don't even think they care that much about profit. Disney is so propped up and so seemingly sustainable as a foundational fixture of culture that they have the ability to only think about agenda. The story, characters and everything else are created with that in mind first and foremost. "Put a chic in it and make her gay." Starting the introductory "creative" meetings with what demographics they need to fulfill with their characters to be fully "inclusive" and "diverse" and also make sure they go out of their way to thumb their nose at anybody who isn't into their world view.

And now that you mention it, I kinda miss that caption thread... Aye. After George's controversial introduction of midichlorians in the prequels Force strength was related to the density of midichlorians in the cellular structure as far as I know, which means that even small critters can be strong in the Force if they have a dense concentration of them.
So by that logic the little fellas ought to be able to kick as much butt with the Force as any one imho.
Here's the pic from Bux' original post (I looked it up using the search function. Not sure what the other species are):
Bux was kind of the heart and soul of that thread. Not sure how she managed to find so many captionable pics with humorous potential.
Strange, I have only a vague recollection of those two pictures that you just shared, but perhaps it's been too long. Regarding the first pic, isn't the creature on the far right the same species as the laughing one that Jabba the Hut had in his palace? Regarding your comment about the midichlorians, does that mean we could have a Porg that's strong in the Force? Crazy. Right, she must've collected those pictures over time, because she was loaded with 'em.

That or maybe one of the critters in the pod race during Phantom Menace?
Re Midichlorians - perhaps that's one of the problems raised by George rationalizing a mystical phenomena with a materialistic explanation?

Acolyte RT audience score now down to 22%. It dropped from 23 down to 22 in the last hour.
The audience disconnect seems to be strong with this one!

Well they tried something different with Ep 3, I’ll give them that. Didn’t really pull it off, just because you want the audience to see things from a certain point of view doesn’t mean they will.
And exactly how many of these Force births are we going to have? Or are they going to try to tie it into the other guy with no daddy?

'The Acolyte Episode 3: Commie, Space Witch, Lesbians Make Children with The Force!!'
I thought the older Soviet style communism was bad enough, but the indoctrination shit coming out of the west these days is just on another level, and they could not give a shit whether this weird ass garbage makes money or not. Interestingly enough, after the last decade or so I'm not all that surprised.

The release of Ep 3 must be why the audience score over at RT has plummeted by 6% in a single day. In the last hour it dropped another percentile from 22% down to 21%. Yesterday it was at 27%. I would not be surprised to see it drop to as low as 18% by tomorrow evening.

It’s just they do it so poorly it’s never going to sway anyone, if anything it’ll cement them more the other way! They try SOOO hard to make us look at the Jedi as the bad guy. But the girl we’re supposed to feel sorry for killed everyone! Not exactly going to make me feel bad about anything done to her.
