Is Weird Talers worth picking up? I've had it on my list for a while.

Is Weird Talers worth picking up? I've had it on my list for a while. Yeah, I think it is. Most of the chapters can be found online at the link below (I prefer having this stuff in print, easier on the ol' eyes): onanunderwood5.blogspot.com

Cool thanks for the link.
I have The Weird Tales Story. Are there any other books out there about Weird Tales?

Cool thanks for the link. I have The Weird Tales Story. Are there any other books out there about Weird Tales? There is this one by John Locke. It details how Weird Tales magazine got started and its first few years. Think of it as a pre-Howard Weird Tales book.

I've managed to slim down to a single bookshelf. It's about 75% Conan. I have a few gaps to fill, but I'm quite happy with my collection Cool collection, Garbanzo. I'm down to nothing with my books! Al my REH and history books concerning the history of Turko-Mongol nomads gone - just have to start again, I guess. Do you have a complete collection of SSOC?

That sounds awful! I do have a complete collection of SSoC, along with all other b&w Conan mags (except for Savage Tales #1, damn those eBay prices!).

It is not so bad, just have to be a little more selective when I eventually can afford to build up my collection again. When it comes to Conan comics, SSOC will be essential, but more likely in omnibus edition than individual issues. You've been after that 1st issue of Savage Tales for a while now. I wish you luck my friend, hopefully you get lucky in the near future.

Don't recall having seen a paperback copy of the Ace Howard Collector in someone's collection before. Mine has no title on the spine.

I remember how the shelves were bowed with the weight of your collection in your pics Hun - until they finally gave way and your bookshelf collapsed!
Hope you manage to snag some great bargains when you rebuild.

Got these for a nice price recently (not the price on the stickers, sadly). These old illustrated hardcovers are really a treat! I've only read a couple of the Kull stories, and the all rest are completely new to me. I started the Kirby O'Donnell book this morning, definitely enjoying it so far.
