In 2011, Mongolia celebrated the 2,220th Anniversary of the first Hunnu Empire 209BC. (Xiongnu in Chinese sources)
This song is called 'Tengeriin Huu' roughly translates as 'Son of Tengri' by Uvertura. The video relates the rise of Modu Chanyu (209BC-174BC) the founder of the first steppe empire in Mongolia.

The unfinished Genghis Khan: The Story of a Lifetime 1992, there are rumours that a finished version was screened in 2010. The movie was shot in the Kirghiz republic.
The cast includes - Richard Tyson portraying Genghis Khan (you'll know him when you see him) with Charlton Heston, Rodney A. Grant, John Saxon (Roper in Enter the Dragon) Pat Morita (Mr Miyagi in the The Karate Kid movies) and Julia Nickson (Rambo 2, I think she was married to David Soul from Starsky and Hutch).

Olga from Yakutia is something else:
Howard actually wrote to P. Schuyler Miller that Conan may have adventured in the Yakutia region.

Olga from Yakutia is something else: Howard actually wrote to P. Schuyler Miller that Conan may have adventured in the Yakutia region. Holy crap. Maybe you watch the video and think she's cute, or her costume is silly, or the show looks low budget, or a hundred other things. But turn off the video and the lights and listen to this performance in the dark and it is a very different thing.

Plenty more videos of her on Youtube.

Some more music from the Altai Mountains.
Argımak Attar
here's my attempt at a translation
Argımak Attar, Noble Horses
Attar, attar, siler kaydan mantap bardıgar?
Horses, horses, where have you gone?
Attar, attar, siler neni sezip turıgar?
Horses, horses, what have you sensed? What makes you pause?
Argımak attar siler kayda bardıgar?
Where have the noble horses gone?
Baatırlar kaçan da mında cuvlaşkan,
In ancient times when heroes made battle here,
kanı akturıp jerge jayılgan
their blood lay and spread (nourishing) through the land
Argımak attar siler kayda bardıgar?
Where have the noble horses gone?
Tuygaktar tibirti tuvlarga torolup
The sound of hooves swept through the mountains
çöldörgö çınga çöyö bargılayt
Into the lands beyond and the desert
Argımak attar siler kayda bardıgar?
Where have the noble horses gone?

Some very cool sculptures, Hun. I hadn't seen any of them. REH was a fan of Tomyris.
