Ä gantija in Malta You've gotta love Malta. More megaliths per square mile than anywhere else on Earth.

The tumulus complex of Bougon: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumulus_of_BougonDating to at least 4000BC, the main tumulus is still more or less intact. In appearance and condition it has many similarities to Newgrange in Ireland, but is several centuries older.

"Cairn T" is a megalithic cairn in Knowth, Ireland. It is part of the Boyne Complex (which also includes the Newgrange and Dowth sites). Knowth was designed to mark both the spring and autumn equinoxes. www.knowth.com/loughcrew-equinox.htmThere's a video of the equinoctial sun entering the cairn here: www.knowth.com/loughcrew-equinox-video.htmOne amazing/appalling thing is that the Normans built a fort on top of the structure (something the native Gaels would have never done) and it survived.

The megalithic temple in Mnajdra, Malta is also designed to mark the dawn of the spring equinox down a long chamber. Here's a pretty cool, short video:
Ignore the "solcstice" in the title.

A mysterious cyclopean wall in eastern Russia:
To me, the explanation that it was built in the 1700s for an iron foundry just doesn't make sense. Building a mortared brick or stone structure would've worked just as well and been cheaper/easier.

Bronze Age "Sun" and "Moon" dolmens on Mount Nexis, Russia: www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=22419Apparently, there were many others on the mountain, but they were destroyed during the early days of the Soviet Union.
