I lost this book in the Flood. Goes for big money now. RIP, Frank. Sorry to hear about that Deuce. About a year ago, I stumbled across a vast amount of beautiful Frazetta material at the Book Palace (the guys involved with the Wandering Star books) in South London. I'm not certain, but I think they had a copy of Frazetta's Illustrations Arcanum. I eventually picked up, it was pricey, but well worth it, a copy of Frank Frazetta's A Retrospective: The Alexander Gallery version from 1994.
The one with this cover: I also have the 3 volumes by Fenner, but the insulting intro in 'And Their Memory Was a Bitter Tree' really put me off Arnie Fenner.

I have to wonder if this was Frank's original concept for Darkwolf that was then simplified for Fire and Ice. It just has that feel to me.

Early Frazetta, from before he went to Lancer.

This has always been high on my list of Frazetta paintings. His technique is a little different from his classic style of the late '60s onward...

FF's painting for de Laurentiis' Orca movie: Very cool! Orca is also one of my favorite "when animals attack " type of movie. It's surprisingly deep and nuanced at times.

Scans of Frank Frazetta interview courtesy of ERBzine. Be sure to check out the SPECTACULAR ART OF FRANK FRAZETTA links at the bottom of the page for some excellent images of Frank's work. Really makes me want to make a pilgrimage to the museum. www.erbzine.com/mag57/5779.html

I really enjoy things like movie props and statues based on artists' work (such as the Moon Maid statue based on Frazetta's amazing cover I posted in another thread). Museum Replicas has for some time now been offering items based on Frazetta's Death Dealer character. It's some pretty cool stuff. www.museumreplicas.com/nsearch.aspx?SearchTerm=frazetta
