Very weird. But at least Howard based. The first variant is the best. Although in all three cases, I'm not sure that crazy Dino would have cashed in the necessary budget. In TotE/BC, a mass of extras would be necessary, due to the huge armies. In the variant with the Red Nails adaptation, he would have to invest heavily in dinosaurs/dragons. The only relatively acceptable version would be the Black River/Black Stranger adaptation, because it would be the cheapest. And in the end he would’ve reduced that to nothing. It's Dino after all.

I was wondering where to discuss this, and this seems like a good thread for it. It's the Conan of the Storyboards / Conan the Movie by Neal Adams. I found it in SSoC #60.
I thought it was great! The author / artist said he imagined it like the start of a James Bond film, introducing Conan before the credits. IMO it worked really well and I would have loved to have seen it made.
I can't seem to add an image from my phone, but I will when i get to the laptop.
Any other thoughts on it?

I would say the same. It does look like a fan job. Definitely worth a read 🍻

This is not exactly unmade, anyone seen the latest AI craze on Youtube. People are 'making' things like they would've been had they been done in the late 40s or early 50s color in either the UK or Russia under the name Super Panavision 70. Some of them are pretty good, others are a little on the lazy side. I think Abandoned Films does the best, but the guy or team who did this isn't bad. What if Arthur Rank did a Conan film in England in 1948...

In a few years the visuals in AI generated video may get to where it needs to be. Given the general state of writing in movies and television AI the scripting can't really be much worse.

It’s funny watching some of these and the hands start warping like a Kardashian Photoshop fail. They’re starting to do the alternate casting from certain eras. Might have to try my hand at it eventually to do my 1985 Magnificent Seven: Harrison Ford Mel Gibson Michael Douglas Sylvester Stallone Chuck Norris Martin Sheen Introducing Lou Diamond Phillips with Burt Reynolds and Kurt Russell as the guys getting on the stage. Also might have fun plugging in James Garner (or an early Reynolds for that matter) for Brad Dexter. Wanna do that Clint Walker or Jack Palance Conan…this is SO ripe for abuse!
