I've been enjoying some epic soundtrack music by Thomas Bergersen. Here's a great score he composed called 'Creation of Earth' with a fan-made video:

Monster Magnet. I've been a fan since Superjudge and saw them with Corrosion of Conformity years ago. Glad to see Deadpool giving them a boost.

Since Scott Weiland's death, I've been revisiting Stone Temple Pilots, too
When Weiland was hitting the marks, they were a powerhouse of a live band.

Very atmospheric! It reminds me of the great score by Trevor Jones in Excalibur.

A little AC/DC-Rock or Bust, '77-High Deciibles, and some assorted Motörhead. With the passing of Lemmy, Motörhead is getting extra airtime on Sirius...bonus!

Well, thanks to TDM, I started listening to a little AC/DC and was planning on checking out some Koritni. Then I was on FB and saw this guy:
I'd known about and liked hurdy gurdies since the first Page & Plant cd. Wow. This guy takes it (electric) to a whole new level. Eddie Van Halen should've bought a hurdy gurdy instead of messing around with keyboards. Some pretty incredible stuff.

Didn't even realise the full score had ever been released, so I headed over to Youtube to listen to it. Interesting to hear it all together with the Wagner and Orff included. But as good as the Jones stuff is, it's their use of Siegfried's Death March that was inspired. ...... I absolutely agree. Perhaps the better term would be "soundtrack"? The Deutsche works were the most memorable, but Jones did a great job bringing Celtic touches in as well. I was pleasantly surprised to find the entire soundtrack on Youtube awhile back . Then again, Youtube has astounded me numerous times before.

Several different versions of what might have been Jimi Hendrix's First Rays of the New Rising Sun. There's "my" version, based on the 1997 release with My Friend removed, Bleeding Heart & Drifters Escape from South Saturn Delta and Come Dow Hard on Me and Lover Man from the 2000 box set added. Then I did a playlist of "What If in 1975 Alan Douglas decided to not trash everything from the previous 4 years and made a First rays from what was there?" 9 tracks from Cry of Love 5 from Rainbow Bridge, 4 from War Heroes and 2 from Loose Ends. The same songs except Pali Gap in place of Lover Man but the sequencing is based on the above albums. Then I just did one based on a songfest that was on a tape box in Electric Lady Studios with three of the four sides broken down. Again all the same songs but Valleys of Neptune in place of Lover Man/Pali Gap. It's like thinking about "What would REH have written next had he lived? Conan? El Borak? Breck Elkins?" What might have been...
