The saddest one of Ernie's that will never be finished is the Wolves Beyond the Border adaptation. I wonder when he died if any pages of a third part were around, but Terry confirmed no such pages existed.

Hi all, I am trying to get all the SSoC bare covers as it they are mostoften masterpieces. I had opend a thread in the old forum, maybe new sites have opened since offering other possibilities. Just art, no logo, just the artist work... Thanks for any information Jb

Hey all,
I recently came across some pics from an illustrated b&w version of The Hyborian Age. It looks like it came from pages of SSOC... is that really the source? Was it a backup story or in a special? And most important, is there a place I can buy the collected version? Thanks! Mick

Assuming you're talking about the one adapted by Roy Thomas with art my Walt Simonson, then yes. It was from SSOC #7 and 8.

That sounds right. Is it good?
Anyone know if it's included in the dark horse "phone book" reprints? If so, I'll find a $6 copy on amazon marketplace...

Yeah, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to any Conan fan. For some reason, though, it wasn't included in any of the reprints (at least not the earlier ones). You could probably find most, if not all, the pages with a Google image search for "hyborian age walt simonson savage sword of conan" or something like that. My search came up with a bunch, at least. I remember someone posting it on the old website, so maybe that individual would be kind enough to do so again if they're still around...

It was a terrible oversight in the original volumes of the SSOC reprints not to include the six parts (scattered through various issues from SSOC #7 thru around #16) of the Hyborian Age, probably second to the still-yet-to-be-reprinted Hour of the Dragon. This is why the whole 70s output needs to be redone in a more comprehensive fashion.

I picked up these 2 issues today... leaving me only 2 to go to complete my run of Savage Sword of Conan. Picked up a Savage Tales #1 earlier this year to complete that, and finished Conan the Barbarian a couple years back. Now it's just to track down the one issue of Conan the Savage, the handful of issue from the random 3 issue mini series Marvel did just before they lost the license that I don't have yet and 2? of the OGNs to finish off the Marvel Conan books. I only got serious abut getting all these and filling in the holes on what I was missing from what I bought off the stands here and there as it came out about 4 years ago and have worked with a limited budget, but we're getting there. -M

Do you have the annual? Or the color specials?

Do you have the annual? Or the color specials? Yes, the annual and both color specials. Both versions of the Official Handbook of the Conan Universe too. All the Giant Size and Annuals for CtB as well. Aside from the 90s era stuff and the 2 SSoc issues (205 & 207), the only things I know I am missing are 2 of the OGNs (Ravagers out of Time and Conan the Rogue). -M
