On the one hand, this is bad when you have that many plans in place and still pull the plug. The flip side is this would leave more room for a series of Conan projects to operate...do I believe that? Not really but trying to find the silver lining. As long as they don't approach it as a comic but as literature, it would give it more standing.

We could only hope that slowly Netflix is having the proper room for a Conan shows, also the cancelled Amazon series is trendy this days AND now Heroic Signatures is owned by FUNCOM and TENCENT if a deal like that fell appart the companies stock will suffer so maybe they could be moving something behind the scenes.

The Conan show not happening would only be disappointing if you ever believed it would happen. Personally I never thought it would so it's no big deal, I've come to accept that Conan just isn't a big enough deal for anyone to take a chance on the character.
But if these studios think I will spend money on some of the modern crap they're putting out because I can't watch Conan then they're wrong. I'll just save my money unless they can make something I'm actually interested in.

2 years ago I rushed to post the great news here. In hindsight I think it's fair to say that my sense of urgency was misplaced

They seem to get half way in then never finish. At least the BBC got as far as Silver Chair.

I have zero interest in Narnia, Harry Potter, The Golden Compass, Twilight, Maze Runner, The Hunger Games, Labyrinth, or any thing like that. Heck, Willow barely makes the list--I'll give that one a try.

From all the things that you listed maybe Willow is one of the best movies Actually, I was talking about the upcoming show. I've seen the movie, and I think I would lump it in with the others.

Latest Netflix victim-Mike Judge’s animated project which was in the midst of production. Maybe they’re saving up a LOT of money for the Conan show…or not…

I wonder if the newly released Guillermo Deltoro Cabinet of Curiosities anthology series will be factored into the Conan equation. A handful of pulp tales are being adapted, Lovecraft and Cthulhu Mythos related included.
