Yeah, they're even willing to announce Liam Hemsworth as The Witcher for the 4th season after losing Henry Cavill. But still no green light for a Conan series announced 2 years ago in September 2020, this is not gonna happen. Sounds like Henry may be busy over the next couple of years so they go with a cheaper Hemsworth option (at least it wasn’t Luke!). I’m not even convinced Season 4 will actually happen now. Unless this is ALL being done to create cash for Conan…sure is looking doubtful, isn’t it? Seems like Netflix news just keeps getting worse over time in general. |

There is an ongoing rumor that Cavill quit the Witcher as he was really frustrated with the producers and writters about how the handled and portrayal the characters and story on the show.

Watched the first two episodes of Cabinet of Curiosities... these guys could make a good God in the Bowl...
I thought the first episode (Lot 36) was slightly better than episode two (The Graveyard Rats) but that's really saying something as the latter expanded on the Kuttner story in a good way and made it more appealing.
Fuck, just hire these guys to do your Conan show and make it an anthology series at this point. But I doubt we are going to get it at this point, maybe once the Witcher tanks with Hemsworth Jr, but by then I'm guessing someone else will have snatched up the rights.
But seeing those two episodes of Cabinet of Curiosities and the first two seasons of the Witcher to a lesser extent shows that this can be done.

do people actually think there is or was even the slightest chance that a netflix (or any major studio/company) conan show (or film) would actually be authentic to what conan is about? in this day and age? to me that's hilarious. i must be living in a different world.

Nope, I never really was hopeful. But still, sometimes the stars align just right, and you happen to get what you desire despite it being against the odds. To say the least, I was very curious to see how it would have turned out. At this point though, I think the project has sunk below the waves. |
