I think they wouldn't have bought the license if they weren't going to do something special with it, they are aware that the sales are abysmal with Marvel. So I am assuming they are going to try a different approach. I am feeling good about this. Titan lost out to Marvel last time round hopefully they can make up for that now.

Hopefully we get something different with some of the collections.
All the Roy Thomas adaptations of REH's Conan yarns in hardback would be nice.

Obviously we still keep the DeCamp/Carter/Nyberg pastiche adaptations in separate volumes. It'd probably the closest we get to reprinting/preserving DeCamp's work.

The 1st DeCamp adaptation in CtB is in issue 92 'Thing in the Crypt' and the 1st Conanized one in SSoC can be found in issue 31 'The Flame Knife'.

I already proposed a series of omnibuses with the complete Roy Thomas material a couple of days ago. I would like the stories in internal chronological order though. Roy's chronology was pretty well thought out so for 95% of the material the placement within the saga is pretty clear. The few stories that don't fit or that are alternate versions or describe alternate events could be collected in the last volume. Of course things like the look of Conan would often change back and forth between stories but I don't mind that. I've never read all the Roy Thomas stories in chronological order but I'm planning to do that when the omnibus lines end. Otherwise it would be a bit TOO much Conan to read every week even for me ;-) (I've also just began re-reading the Lancer Conans for the first time since the Del Rey editions were published.)

Could there just be too much past material to collect coherently within a licensing period? It seems like there is just never enough time. Did DH get them finished in time before they lost the license? I can't remember.
I mean between CtB, SSOC, and all the various Marvel series alone....

Marvel got all of CTB and about half of SSOC plus a volume of King Conan in three years. I'm just happy they did a nice job on coloring the complete Hour of the Dragon.

Fredrik Malmberg answered a question on Twitter about Titan reprinting archive material and whether they'd start at #1 or carry on?
"Not decided. Probably just carry on."

I absolutely love the complete version of Hour of The Dragon. You're right, they did a great job on it.

Probably the best idea at this point. People are likely not going to have the extra cash to buy a whole bunch of volumes over again. But the SSOC issue does bring up the fact they CAN use the other Howard stories in those volumes. Since the B&W Kull and Kane stories were collected, they may need to do a separate volume of Bran and the other Howard stories rather than go back and put them in.

It'l be interesting to see how much interest there will be if they decide to publish omnis with all the Conan minis and other stuff.
They'll probably continue to add the graphic novels in the SSoC Omnis, I guess?

Panini andles the Conan licence here in México and according to them they will continue publishing Conan for a long time, still not sure if they got an agreement with Titan or something like that.
