Since Titan is doing a great job at putting together creative teams, it might be a long shot but I'd love to see Giorello on Conan again.

I feel like colored comics seem to be more appealing to a wider audience, it's mostly only the hardcore Conan/REH fans who would love a magazine B&W format (myself included). So for now, the colored comic is just a minor complaint.

Reddit didn't seem to like De La Torre's art, I have no idea why???

IMHO Marvel failed dearly because they wanted to please casual fans. 

Make it a book for hardcore Conan fans and it will eventually grow and please many people that are not so acquainted with the cimmerian.

It is just like Savage Sword. It began as a relatively small magazine and it soon became very popular because it was original, different and pretty good. 

If a book is indeed good it will sell, specially in today's market where many things are so disposable.

Really fantastic news posted on another forum - Cory Sedlmeier, who edited the Conan omnis for Marvel, will be moving over to help Titan continue the line. Awesome!

First, we'll be going back to press on some of the early Conan the Barbarian and Savage Sword volumes. Then, we'll start releasing new volumes, picking up right where I left off with Savage Sword of Conan Vol. 9, Conan the Barbarian Vol. 11 and Conan the King Vol. 2.

I have plans set for all of the original 1970-2000 Conan comics locked. Our release schedule will alternate between volumes of the black-and-white magazine material (Savage Sword, Conan the Savage, plus the color graphic novels) and the color comics material (Conan the King, Conan the Adventurer, Conan [1995] and the late-'90s miniseries).

The trade dress and spines of the new editions will match up perfectly with the previously released Omnibus, just with a different publisher name at the top of the spine.

So same editor, same great restoration, same trade dress, same Conan!

I think because the wider audience probably prefers colour it makes sense to run the main title in colour.

Don't know how practical it would be to implement but perhaps they could have a smaller variant print run in b+w for those who would prefer to order that? Same text and illustrations but just in full b+w. Might also get some core collectors who would want both variants. Hard to say what the uptake would be without experimenting.

In any event I agree with you that Titan have put together an ideal team and I feel their responsiveness to the fandom will be rewarded.

That really is excellent news! I don't mind admitting that I'm quite obsessed with SSOC at the moment. Excited to get my hands on the first volume in the not tooo distant future now too.

For anybody in the UK, Forbidden Planet (owned by Titan, I learned on here) has some really good deals on the SSOC omnibuses currently.

As someone who has collected all the omnis, both Marvel and SSoC, it's cool to hear they are finishing the series, but they will obviously have a different look, right?

They said they will look exactly the same, but with Titan at the top instead of Marvel. So obviously not quite perfect, but about as good as it gets! Your collection will look nicer than mine as you'll have Marvel switching to Titan, whereas mine will have Titan mixed in. Unless the originals really drop in price, anyway. Still pretty awesome though, I'll be very happy to have vol 1 of SSoC!

I meant-which one (specific) sub. or topic on that subject. I am member of Conan the Barbarian subreddit but I don't remember that I saw discussion about De La Torre.

Cool! Mine is actually even more mixed up than I thought, I have the equivalent of the first 3 CtB omnibuses as Epic Collections. Maybe I'll upgrade at some point. We'll see.
