The internet hates seasons 1&2 of Picard, but I'm about 3/4 of thevway through season 1 and it's been pretty good so far.

Season 2 is the bad season. I was expecting more from season 1, but it’s still good. Season 3 is Wrath Of Khan level Trek.

Just finished season 2 of Picard. I liked it fine. There were what I felt were plot "errors" and padding in the final episode.
I like it better than Voyager or the first episode of Disovery.

Hopefully they focus more on the ferocious warrior Klingon, rather than resolving conflict with gestures of honor.

I'm in the minority on Picard. I liked season 1&2 fine, I don't find season three any better.
*spoilers?*
Starfleet and company's inability to deal with the changelings became tiresome by episode 8. As many times as starfleet has been "compromised" in the past I'm having trouble suspending disbelief.
The moral hand wringing wasn't any better.
Reminds me of those old dr who's where they escaped to be recaptured 8 to 10 times. Seems like padding out a movie script to be a series
Lots of cool starship action and nostalgia though.

I’m ready for Strange New Worlds season 2 this month. Another day away and I cannot wait. Re-watching season 1 for the third time in preparation for the new episodes, which I assume will drop at a rate of one per week. Ugh. |

Two episodes into the second season of strange new worlds, season 2 is off to a good start. I'm glad they ditched the disaster of the Season formula, but still want to see multiple interwoven plot threads that resurface now and again.

At the time that the original series came out the Eugenics Wars had happened in the near future too, since it was the 1960s and the Eugenics Wars were supposed to have happened in the 1990s. Setting the Eugenics Wars in the late 21st century in a currently running show is just a small adjustment to make us think about our future like they did in the 1960s.
