Just saw X-Men:Apocalypse -- Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) plays young Jean Grey in XM:A. Sophie has a great future!

Episode 9 is Jon and Ramsay's throw down. I think the last one "Winds of Winter" is when the walkers invade Westeros

SPOILER WARNING. Highlight to read. Arya's miraculous recovery from a possibly mortal, possibly septic, wound, remains unexplained.
The Waif was a loose cannon. Her murder of Lady Crane was as gratuitous as Arya's murder of Sir Barristan.

It's no worse than Matt Murdock getting cut to ribbons during his fight with Nobu and being fixed by Claire Temple. Actually if anything Arya's recovery is LESS absurd.

She was on Arya's list and was taken out in the brothel in Braavos. Not sure if Arya & Ser Barristan were even in the same place after Book 1/Season 1.
And yes, Arya's recovery/survival needs a better explanation than what we've gotten so far. It's not going over well even with the biggest fans. Those knife wounds were really bad, not exactly the kind to be just stitched up.

Yeah, that was my only real problem with last night's episode - those knife wounds definitely seemed a lot deeper. It could have easily been explained by showing Arya with some sort of padding around her abdomen, but perhaps there's some other explanation that hasn't been revealed yet... I hope!

Arya's plot armor is just too strong But last night's episode was really boring. I hope next week is mostly set in the North to make up for it. Need to see the Bastardbowl in all its glory. Especially since it appears Cleganebowl isn't happening. Speaking of, the Hound was the only saving grace for the episode.

Yeah, I meant Meryn Trant. Sorry. But Arya's triumph partly made up for the downer of Blackfish's short shrift. I'd hate to be Edmuir; he may never be able to forgive himself. I hope Ramsey Bolton dies a horrible squishy death.

I wish Brienne had been a little more convincing in her attempt to prevent Blackfish's suicide (Which is basically what it was). Had he decided to go with her, he could have aided Sansa, helped to lead her to victory, and then eventually marched back South with their army to reclaim his home. What the show had him do seemed like such a waste, but I suppose they need to wrap up all these loose story ends so they can eventually reach a conclusion. I hope the book version of Blackfish makes better choices.

I'm getting that feeling a lot this season, whoever isn't absolutely vital to the endgame is gotten rid of in quick fashion (see Doran Martell, Roose Bolton, Osha). It's definitely a fallout from not having George's full story to work with: they know where the story's going, but not every bit and piece to choose from like they've had for the past five seasons.

And hence the mysterious and surprising resurrections of characters we thought were dead, but who later turned out to be necessary after all.

Well fans saw Sandor's resurrection since book 4. It's like the idea of jon coming back; everyone knew it was coming.

Episode 9 SPOILERS Bastardbowl is over! What a f*cking episode! I doubt we'll see another battle scene like that on television again. Mounted cavalry, foot, and brutal as hell. Then there was Daeny and her dragons taking on the fleet! Great visuals! I'm so glad they just stuck to the North and Mereen this episode, that's where the heart of the series is with Jon and Daeny (Ice and Fire if you buy that theory). Writers: Rickon, you're getting too old and you're useless, take an arrow to the chest! Writers: "Asha" and Theon, here's your teleporter, you won't get a nice entrance into Mereen, but you'll get there faster. Something tells me this isn't going to work out well with the Starks gaining control of the North, though. Littlefinger is going to screw them over, or just attempt to marry Sansa. Something is going to happen next episode for sure. Either way, glad to see Ramsay get a taste ( ) of his own medicine, and I'm glad Jon beat his ass and Sansa got her revenge on that prick. This is my first time watching GoT live, I don't know how you guys do this! I'm reading for next week, but after next week, the season's over. Hopefully GRRM will get Winds of Winter out before Season 7.

With Rickon, it seemed to be Martin, Dave & DB and even the characters going, "Yeah...we don't know what to do with him either."
The interesting thing is the beginning of Winds of Winter is supposed to be these same two battles, which were moved from Dance With Dragons in the first place. Obviously they will be very different in execution.
I think at this point it may be an open question if George finishes WoW before the SERIES is over!

Yes, great episode! From Daenerys kicking ass with her dragons to Ramsey being devoured by his own dogs, I was cheering throughout. My 11-year-old nephew, who never saw a single episode of the show, watched it with me, and I think he was quite impressed. Yeah, poor Rickon. If only he didn't run in a straight line with absolutely no deviation whatsoever. I kept wishing that he would just zigzag a little bit. Oh man, if it takes Martin about 2+ years to finish that book, I think we might as well just abandon all hope of him ever finishing the series. Yikes.
