Frank Frazetta ink over graphite commissioned in 1988. I can easily picture Death Dealer in a fictional fantasy world of warring city states based loosely on the historical situation that existed in late medieval Italy where city states were in perpetual dispute with their neighbours, mercenary bands of cavalry, archers and infantry constantly employed in the bloody wars, throw in some dark magic , were demons, and work Death Dealer into something like that.

Not seen that image before.

I really like Lunar Conflict by FF. It has this planetary adventure look and feel to it, and yet the proximity of the Earth to the lunar fantasy setting brings it closer to home.

Reminds me of the ERB character, but placed in a fantasy setting, that would work.

I'm seriously considering on pulling the trigger and obtaining 'Fantastic Paintings of Frazetta'.

Frank Frazetta's artwork for various planet adventure projects gave a template for later heroic fantasy artists.
