Yeah, Marvel would be foolish to not translate and print these ready-made adaptations. I'm sure they'd make back their investment.

12 page preview of the La Citadelle écarlate can be be found here. Thank you Stubbs for the link. This preview looks good, the colours and detail are very nice.
I surmise that the minstrel is used as a narrator of sorts, rather than as a protagonist as DH added in their adaption.
Very nice indeed and I look forward to ordering this one in two weeks time.

Thanks for the link, Stubbs.
Looks good, not as good as the Recht's FGD adaptation but still better than what we're getting at Marvel.

This stuff is 10x better than what Marvel is doing right now.

Read a comment on one of the FB pages that said there was talk of English editions being done. Maybe Marvel can work out a deal with Titan? They've done a great job with the Elric translations.

Does Marvel have to be involved in bringing these adaptions over seas, or could a company like Titan do it alone?

Unless Titan strike some kinda deal with Fredrik Malmberg so they can distribute the volumes outside of Europe - very unlikely though. I just can't see Marvel ignoring these books for too long.

At the very least they would have to officially sign off on it, though if they went that far, they'd probably release it themselves.

I would love to see Cinebook do these adaptions in English, in a hardcover like they have just recently done with the Valerian complete collection volumes. The books are done identical to their French counterpart complete collections ( except for the language of course, and maybe some nudity), and it is very easy to order from the UK to anywhere in the world. That way Marvel does not have to be involved at all.

Someone on another board mentioned they were having a problem having something to the US from the UK and it looked like it might have involved copyright issues (a reprint of a Hanna Barbera comic book of all things!) So that would possibly get them in English, but getting them to the US may still have a hurdle or two.
