Thanks Danielj495. Looks great, this one could be up there with the Frost-Giant's Daughter adaptation.

Any word on whether The God In The Bowl is definitely up for adaptation? Intrigued to see how they can work around it's non public domain status, unless Conan somehow is never referred to by his name.

It's definitely happening and is currently due for November (unless something happens before release). I don't think I've seen any internal art but here's the cover: Also some art from the Xuthal of the Dusk adaptation (due sometime in 2021):

The God in The bowl adaptation is listed on the Glenat Website so it's definite. I'm assuming we might Have A witch shall be born this year and the others in 2021. (I found somewhere that Rogues in the house and A witch shall be born are both near completion). There were some pages of artwork posted previously in this same forum. here's another one.

And, unless that's a hollow, plastic sword, there's no way that jerky dude could hold it like that with one hand. Look at the size of the scabbard! Warcraft meets Jamaica-man! "Like, I'm Conan, dude. A Cimmerian. And, Thulsa-Doom! You are going down, man. Way down! Flat like mud, man! Now, if I can just lift this sword...STAY STILL THULSA-DUDE! It's, like, coming you way...."

That is fantastic stuff, guys, thanks for posting the news and images from the upcoming Cimmerian comics. The image in particular from Xuthal is bad ass and then some! One of the reasons that i rate Bowl as a minor masterpiece is that it takes the detective genre and flips it on it's head, and is so largely different from other Conan stories. On a side note, i've always thought it would be perfect for a theatrical stage adaptation, as the action takes place effectively in only a few locations.

Yeah, i wasn't going to mention until i wrapped my head around it. I've seen some somewhat leftfield depictions of Conan over the years, but that is by far the weirdest of the bunch! Not entirely sure i am diggin' the bizarre hairstyle or the Jack Sparrow-esque eye detailing. Makes me wonder if the artist was on something when he painted it!

I just think that for some reason some artists think just because Conan is young in a particular yarn, they think they have to draw him thin. It's a pain in the ass.

This makes me recall reading an interview with John Buscema who criticized artist's skinny renditions of Conan (even Barry Smith's), saying that they make him look like a High school Kid

Holy shit...Ablaze, how about fast tracking this over here? Is Ablaze adapting these in any sort of order, like the order that Glenat published them or anything?
