How great were those old 'The World of Unknown' books, as a kid I would find them in my school library. Ghosts, monsters and of course the UFO one. They are a blast from the past. I recently sold the UFO, Ghosts and Monsters editions on my eBay book shop. It seems that the nostalgia of childhood treasured books is going strong. I'm tempted to find those titles again myself.

Something else that I could not help but notice, many of hose stories regarding alien abductions focused on aliens taking samples from humans, probing people with long instruments. Not much interest in the emotional well being of the human, more cold and clinical. Where have I seen that before !?! Interesting time indeed, and the more I think about it the more things start to come together.

Item of interest, did you notice "Morning of the Magicians" on the bookshelf behind the guest? I kind of noticed the 'Space Force' without giving too much attention to the other titles, but mention of 'Morning of the Magicians' brings something else to mind, and that is the connection with the paranormal. It's interesting to consider that alien/UFO extra terrestrial encounters have an element of the supernatural about them, and this is especially true of those claiming to have been abducted by aliens, usually in a half sleep state, an element of doubt where they need to be hypnotised to recall certain events, there is trauma and fear, akin to a night terror dream state, a little like the old stories where fairies abducted humans for a time. This aspect is fascinating to me, and of course when you think about it, the so called depiction of grays have a goblin like appearance about them, perhaps our modern day folklore. Embedded deep in the pop culture psyche: Crowley's drawing of a being he contacted called Lam, around 1918. Invaders from Mars 1953 Star Trek The UFO Incident 1975

I think Sasquatch legends are garbled accounts of prehistoric encounters with Gigantopithecus. Yep, and other larger than average hominid tribes. But I think the truth about most modern encounters Bigfoot was discovered by Steve Austin. Mystery solved!

Invaders from Mars 1953 Star Trek The UFO Incident 1975 I tried finding the oldest depiction of the greys in popular culture, this illustration from the December 23, 1893 edition of the Ottawa Journal‘s reprint of HG Wells’s article ” The Man of the Year Million” might be amongst the first. www.technoccult.net/2009/07/28/a-media-history-of-gray-aliens/

In all honesty I have no idea what may be inhabiting some of the worlds in this big wide universe, perhaps nothing like on Earth. I have always liked the concept of heroic fantasy and planetary adventure worlds that may be accessible via some type of portal or gate, kind of John Carter of Mars thing. Back in the 90's I was an avid watcher of the X Files series, but I have never been able to shake that feeling that the whole UFO phenomena, especially in relation to greys and related aliens, had a kind of intangible element to it. I know the conspiracy guys are big on reptilians/reptiloids, some type of lizard people aliens, also shape shifters, that are posing as heads of state and manipulating societies on our world.

For some reason all this talk about disturbed passengers and strange goings-on aboard airlines has me thinking about the original Twilight Zone episode, also the 80's movie where the guy sees some strange creature on the planes wing, but no one believes him and thinks he is just going Troppo, that and the music video Inside Out by Anthrax.

There is a medieval fresco from Europe, created some seven hundred years ago, religious icon typical of the period, but what stands out are the objects just above the depiction of Christ, the images look like people manning star ships, like one is chasing the other, like some interstellar dog fight, but it may represent some religious significance.

Remember folks: next time you're on a plane, ask the person sitting next to you to say, "Ka nama, kaa lajerama."
