They've also included the map of Conan's adventures from the Marvel Treasury Edition #4. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a scan of the map online.

Supposition is it’s Spurlock. Seems to have gone just a bit overboard. I hope the BWS recolored issues are available at some point but that doesn’t detract from this volume. They could be included in an Epic for example or a separate book altogether. One 1000 page book can’t include everything. I t also seems they left the censored panel in Dwelller in the Dark in the B&W version instead of the uncensored one. Oh well... I think they have included the censored panel from the ST version on pages 702-3 of the omnibus (Savages Tales 4/Conan the Barbarian 12, Comic Codes Authority Alterations) From what others were saying, the censored panel is in the story as it's always appeared instead of having the uncensored one in its place like it should have been. As of now, the uncensored panel is in Essential Conan and I think the Conan Saga issue where it appears. Is it on the CCAA page?

Sorry, I just checked over the omnibus and the panels appear to be the same in ST 4 . I've probably got it wrong. Is there a pic of the censored panel online?

Nope, first I've seen of that one. It really looks like they need to have every single time that story was ever printed in front of them to try to figure out what the complete and uncensored story would look like.

I know this is gonna sound silly, but, it don't look like the line-work of Barry Windsor-Smith.

Yeah, on page 703. Sorry, I just checked over the omnibus and the panels appear to be the same in ST 4 . I've probably got it wrong. Is there a pic of the censored panel online? The uncensored version was the B/W one in Savage Tales. From what I remember, it was only a couple of panels that were changed. ...... The one in ST #4 was less censored than the one in CTB #12, we just need to get all the completely uncensored panels in one place finally.

It was actually Savage Tales #4, not #2. The panel on the right is the one from that issue, not the one on the left. It was the first B/W Conan I ever bought, and I remember being impressed by the extra flesh on show, but I would have been even more impressed if her whole bum was visible. The one on the left might be his original artwork before Marvel's in-house censors got their hands on it. Actually, the changes in the colour version are handled better than the B/W version, which is pretty clunky looking. ...... It was meant for Savage Tales #2 back in 1971 (which is where the panel on the left would have come from), that's how I still think of it. But that book never came out (it was also set to include the Man-Thing story included in Astonishing Tales #12). To give Barry a break, they used the B&W story in CTB #12. Then when Savage Tales got up and running again, it was printed in ST #4, mostly uncensored but still with a couple of panels still altered. Haven't gotten this since I'm in a bit of a cash crunch so unfortunately if I ever end up getting this it'll likely be the regular cover.

I picked up the omnibus with the Cassaday cover - it's OK cos I read the omni without the cover. I'm considering slapping a BWS cover over the dust wrapper eventually, probably one of BWS's Conan Saga covers.

Cory's great, but even this one proved tough for him!
