At $98,229,931 it looks like Minus One will get to 100k before Minus Color is released.

100 mill is in the bag at this point. I wonder how much of that profit is from Godzilla fans watching the movie multiple times? I browsed the Toho Kingdom forums, and found people who claim to have watched the film every week since release!
I myself decided to watch the film a third time on an impulse; this time in 4dx, as that was all that was showing near me now. I felt that the third time was too much for me. I loved it the second time because I wasn't so amped up and could just enjoy the film for what it was. Oh, I do not recommend ever watching a movie in 4dx.

Looks like Godzilla Minus One Minus Color is at a lot of theaters near me. Definitely going to make plans to watch it this weekend.
It's going back into theaters (sans color) at the same time all the Oscar shit is being re-released.

Ended up seeing it today. Really enjoyed it. Curious to see this in color once the Bluray is released, but the black & white version definitely had it's charms. I felt like I was watching a post-war Kurosawa film at times ala Stray Dog.
I haven't seen a lot of Godzilla films, but it's hard to think of how they could make a better movie than this. The real key was the human element that wasn't forced. The haunted pilot and everyone in his radius really made for a quality cast of characters. But I think all the actors from the lead, down to the 3-4 year old child actor playing Akiko did a great job.
Yep, the USA could learn a lot from this movie. Legendary has to be shitting their pants knowing Godzilla x Kong is going to be compared to this masterpiece.
In the theater for the matinee showing there was me, and three different families watching it.

In the theater for the matinee showing there was me, and three different families watching it. I can't imagine a Godzilla movie being any better, either. The majority of Godzilla's legacy is him battling other monsters, so it's about time to for a few VS films of this calibre.
Legendary probably is entering panic mode. The Godzilla x Kong trailer hasn't sparked nearly as much interest as the trailer for the first one—and half the buzz it has sparked ain't of the good kind. Godzilla fans will probably enjoy the film, a lot of them eat low-hanging fruit. Generalization, of course, but they don't come off as the most choosy lot.

"Godzilla Minus One" only had a crew of 35 VFX artists. And even on their lean budget, probably got paid more than the ones at Marvel!

Godzilla Minus One has left theatres. Its box office sits at $105,403,900. After the Oscar buzz around the film, it was once again bringing in $700,000 a day on weekends and 300,000 on weekdays. And yet it was pulled from theatres even though it would have likely pulled in a couple a more million easily. From what I have gathered, Legendary asked Toho to pull the film in order to give a bit of a breather for the soon-to-be released Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Not happy about this at all.

They made their point, I imagine it’ll do very well in home video. It does make the Godzilla/Kong film look like a cartoon.

Sounds like a Bluray release won't come around till the end of the year from the few minutes I spent looking it up.

Sounds like a Bluray release won't come around till the end of the year from the few minutes I spent looking it up. The Japanese blu-ray release looks very niece. I hope we get an identical version released here in north America. Even though I do not collect, I will be buying this for sure. comicbook.com/anime/news/godzilla-minus-one-blu-ray-dvd/
